A geographical position and its social, cultural and political context as well as climate and specific physical characteristics define the scope for a landscape design project. This has become clearer for us in our master project where we have made a Design Program for the outdoor environment of Wollo University in Dessie, Ethiopia and analysed and reflected on the work and process. The aim for the project has been to design an attractive and functional outdoor environment for the Campus, based on the inventories and the needs and wishes of clients and users. But, the aim has also been for us as landscape architect students to gain a greater knowledge about landscape architecture and the design process by position ourselves outside our usual context. The method has been open and seeking where the site, literature studies, dialogues with people and our own experiences from the field study in Ethiopia has influenced the work. Wollo University is situated 400 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, in a mountainous landscape. It faces problems of heavy rainfall during the summer, soil erosion, a lack of essential facilities, and is still a construction site with empty spaces in-between buildings and infrastructure.

Alcohol consumption and student life have been connected through many years. Many people establish their drinking habits during their years as a student and drinking habits among students are therefore an extremely important topic. The aim of this study was to examine the drinking habits of students at Växjö University. The study included 98 respondents who answered a survey concerning sex, age, living status, social relations, social desirability and drinking habits. The result indicated that male students consumed more alcohol than female students.

Detta medför en risk att studenter väljer bort Stockholm som studentstad.Denna studie syftar till att undersöka möjligheterna för studentbostadsmarknaden att utvecklas. Med ett kvalitativt tillvägagångsätt via intervjuer med fastighetsutvecklare och lärosäten identifierades fem problemområden som ligger till grund för detta examensarbete.

Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och dess syfte är att studera studenters upplevda sexuella handlingsutrymme vid Växjö universitets Campus, med utgångspunkt i ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv. Kvalitativa intervjuer med sju studenter vid Växjö universitet, som är boende på universitets Campusområde ligger till grund för en förståelse av det sexuella handlingsutrymmet. The goals of this essay are to identify rituals and ritual behavior at the department of archaeology and ancient history at Lund University. To do this a series of empirical examinations was conducted. Observations, interviews and polls revealed that some ritual behavior is in fact present. Two types of rituals were identified; the interaction ritual, as presented by Erving Goffman in the book Interaction Ritual, Essays on Face-to-Face Behavior, in 1967. The second type of ritual is a ?problem solving? ritual, such as meetings.

This study examined how widespread this behavior is among students in higher education in Sweden. Using a web-based survey, data was collected for analysis. A statistical program, SPSS, was used for evaluation of the collected data. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there are differences in the degree of procrastination between students located on campus versus students who do their education at distance.
